The Magic Circle

Author: Susanna Tamaro

The story of a courageous battle fought in the defense of nature, imagination, and freedom. In the Magic Circle, hidden amongst the trees of the city park, there is no hate and pain, only harmony and understanding. Rick grew up in the Magic Circle with his loving mother-wolf Guendy. He soon discovers a dark and terrible plan to destroy the world: His Porky Pigness Ball of Fat wants to turn the universe into a block of cement with only skyscrapers and giant TV antennas. A poetic, children’s novel that reflects upon a society characterized by power, haste, laziness, and a lack of respect for the environment.
